eNPS enables recurring and automatic monitoring of employee involvement, while providing the opportunity to confide anonymously.
Consequently, there is no need to wait for annual reviews to detect low-level signals, and HR teams can easily measure the impact of their actions thanks to statistical data.
📝 Definition
eNPS stands for "Employee Net Promotor Score". It determines on a scale of 0 to 10 how likely employees are to recommend their company as a good workplace.
As an HR indicator, it enables you to manage and adjust your social and human resources strategy with greater precision, by identifying:
- the overall atmosphere,
- the prevailing trust or mistrust,
- the desire to stay, progress and build a career within the company.
The survey is similar to the one usually used with clients. It's no coincidence! After all, your employees may have interests that go beyond your clients, so it's a good idea to also know how they feel.
💞 The Benefits of eNPS
eNPS offers various advantages:
- It’s easy to set up and analyze because there is only one indicator to track over time,
- On the employee's end, it's easy to answer and therefore leads to fairly high completion rates,
- Allows employees to express their satisfaction anonymously and in a more unrestricted manner.

- Passives 🙃 → employees with answers ranging from 7 to 8. They are relatively satisfied, are not fully passionate and only moderately convinced.
- Detractors 🙁 → employees with answers ranging from 0 to 6. They are the unsatisfied employees, those who are unlikely to recommend the company, which is always detrimental in some way (whether in terms of commitment, brand image or corporate culture).
➕ How is eNPS measured?
The formula for measuring eNPS is:
For example, for a company with rates totalizing 30% promoters and 40% detractors would have a score of -10.
The score can therefore range from +100 (all employees are promoters) to -100 (all employees are detractors).
🧐 How is the score to be interpreted?
1️⃣ By considering how it evolves over time.
2️⃣ By considering its unique value, according to the various studies on the subject:
- Above 30 ➡️ very good score,
- Between 10 and 30 ➡️ good score,
- Above 0 ➡️ acceptable score.
