This article is intended for administrators and salary reviews responsibles.
An article dedicated to the rationale of the salary review is available: Rationale associated with the salary review.
- 1️⃣ Configuration and launch of the campaign
- 2️⃣ Implementation of assessments
- 3️⃣ Completion of assessments
- 4️⃣ Harmonization of proposals
- 5️⃣ Validation
💡 Note: The Compensation product will only appear if your company has subscribed to this feature.
1️⃣ Configuration and launch of the campaign
This step is carried out by the administrators.
The campaign configuration is done in a few clicks from the Elevo platform. Admins can add instructions for the responsibles, choose the employees to include in the exercise, and define the visualization parameters.
And of course, the heart of the configuration: the budget! Whether it is simple, 4% for the entire organization, distributed fairly among each manager, or complex, 2% for this business unit, 6% for that one.
To learn more about this configuration, we invite you to consult the dedicated documentation: Launch a salary review campaign.
⚠️ Attention: The salary review will not be visible to the employee, whether during the process or after its closure.
2️⃣ Completion of evaluations
This step is carried out by the responsibles (Direct Manager or specific person depending on your configuration).
The role of the responsible is to propose a raise, or no raise, for the individuals assigned to them.
By accessing the salary review interface, the responsible will see:
- the number of employees for whom he will need to complete the salary review,
- the status of these evaluations,
- the budget allocated to his teams,
- a direct access to balance the proposed increases.
By selecting a employee, he will be able to propose an increase while consulting previous increases, the achievement of objectives, the results of the People Review, past interviews, received feedback, as well as the employee's training requests. This will provide him with all the necessary context to make a more relevant proposal.
It is possible to propose increases by type of compensation, in percentage or in value, and to explain the proposal in the comments section.
💡 Note: The comment is not mandatory but it is strongly recommended. There is only one area for HR responsibles and admins. We therefore recommend that HR admins write below the comments of the responsible.
💡 Note: The salary review can be edited by the responsible and the admins, your responses are therefore visible in real time to the latter even without having changed the status of the evaluation to 'completed'.
3️⃣ Completion of evaluations
This step is carried out by the responsible (Direct Manager or specific person depending on your settings).
Once the evaluation is completed, the responsible will change its status from "to complete" to "completed." The responsible will then be redirected to the salary review campaign tracking interface and will be able to see the progress of their budget.
He can harmonize his proposals at the level of his team directly from the list of employees, without having to enter each review. He can also modify the status of the review directly from the list.
This change of status allows him to track his progress and the completion of reviews, but also gives the HR Team the ability to have visibility on the progress of the campaign and on the proposed increases ready to be challenged.
4️⃣ Harmonization of proposals
This step is carried out by the admins.
The Admin then moves on to a review phase and, depending on internal processes, will submit the evaluations to management, the Executive Committee, etc. This can also be done in a meeting with the salary review responsibles. The latter share their screens and comment on their proposals.
With the various analyses, the admin can easily track whether the objectives of the campaign are being met or if rework is necessary. He can follow the increases by gender and by profile in real time through the People Review groups.
Thanks to the employee's journey, the history of their interviews, the feedback received, the training completed, as well as the People Reviews and previous salary reviews, the Admin has the necessary context to challenge the proposals made by the responsibles. This step particularly allows for the harmonization of employee increases across the company for greater equity.
5️⃣ Validation
Once reviewed, the Admin can change the status of the evaluations from "completed" to "validated." This does not result in the sending of a notification to the responsible, but the latter will see the status change on Elevo.
Once validated, the responsible will no longer have the ability to modify them. He will therefore be able to view the final increases of the individuals he evaluates on the campaign interface as well as his budget.
The campaign can then be closed by the HR Team; however, responsibles and administrators retain access to the information collected by going to Salary Review > Closed.
